Default Earthbind + Meteor Shower

- Meteor Shower do damage and kd every 3 seconds for 9 seconds
- Earthbind makes the knockdown 3 seconds.

The solution?

You and you allies are knocked down for 9 seconds and take 300+ damage each

Utility skills to make this combo better
- Mantra of Recovery
- Glyth of Renewal
- Weapon of Quickening
- Ghostly Haste

Don't think of this as a complete build those, cuz it's not.

nope, not a complete build but kinda interesting...

The only problem I can see is the energy cost and getting people to get into the "Trap" which shouldn't be too hard. Is this for PVP or PVE by the way?

Also, keep in mind Meteor shower costs a fortune to cast is has a 60 Energy recharge. Perhaps used with someone like Glyph of renewal would make it useful?? I see you thought about that, but thats the only thing I can see that would make it worthwhile.

I have a feeling if you could trap people in this, they probably wouldn't be getting up. Especially if you cast Earth bind, Glyph, Meteor Shower, (everyone gets knocked down), Meteor Shower again.

You really would need a lot of Energy to pull this off, maybe Ele as the primary for Energy Storage would help. 25 E + 15 E is 40 right away, not including ANY other skills.

I wont say its not viable, because perhaps it is... just seems like there would be some holes to fill. Still fun concept.

If one can't pull it off, perhaps 2? 3?

GoEnergy + Meteor Shower + Earthbind will be very very interesting to try. I think this is a wonderful idea and I for one will be testing it out shortly.

This would be nifty tied in with some other AoE nukes. Only thing I wonder about is whether EarthBind would survive the duration of MS.

My only concern is if the meteor waves chain with Earthbind, because once knocked down for 3s, you don't get kd-ed right away when you recover. There is a recovery period. So it could be that the waves don't chain well. Still 2 will most likely hit.

You are still technically counted as being knocked down both as you fall, and while you stand back up. Given this; it should chain perfectly. Whether it works like that in practice is something I would be interested in hearing.

i ewas thinking of that idea too but i dont generally see earthbind knocking anyone down... honestly. but the idea of using the elite grasping was kunrong and then tie it in with aftershock and cyrstal wave and pison blossom seems workable
you can even add in whirlwind if need be

what says u?

Oh yea, I completely forgot about this. I tried it that same night in Alliance battles and it didn't chain well at all. It seemed to make no difference whatsoever actually. Dang... I think it was a great idea.

EarthBind + Water Trident? thatd be fun, keep em KD for about the recharge, cast again when they get up... maybe something like Vapor Blade, Ice Prison, Water Trident, Ice Spikes, Water Trident, Shard Storm, Water Trident, put in a more damaging class like channeling or air (arc lightning!), got a fun build on my hands here

Apply a Root. (I.E. grasp earth ) they then may have a chance to take 1 step. also when you run 2 nukers time them so they hit 1.5 sec apart thus doubling the dmg effectivly and making a continuous knockdown.

it's not the same, water trident's kd only trigger when target is moving

Meteor Shower's kd is unconditional

Although i'm thinking of getting earthbind with thunder clap, only thunder clap have smaller area than meteor shower

damn...this would have been great!

but it seems the people at ANet arent ALL ignorant. They sure can realize all the combos that make the game more fun, and stop them before they start pretty well
